I’ve just enjoyed your podcast, thanks so much.
Of course you couldn’t say anything about how/or even if, Kahlan and Richard can ever consummate their relationship, as it would spoil it for those who haven’t read the books.
However, I thought that the writer may well have been giving us a little hint as to the future when Richard told Kahlan, after he had been confessed, … “I love her as much as I’ve ever loved you.” In other words his love for Kahlan is as powerful and strong as it would be if she had actually confessed him!
The character of Annabelle I thought was definitely suppose to be that rebellious teenager type person. She had been duped by her father for so many years about all the bad things in the world, all the horrors only to find a “prince charming” and a way to take tantrums and get her own way by confessing everyone…She was the epitome of the “spoiled selfish child”…the guest actress Teesgarden did a super job. Michael Whalley was wonderful as the annoying
Flynn only to become the rascal/rogue prince charming to ride off into the sunset with…well done too.
The confessed Richard I think has posed some hurt feelings with Kahlan even knowing that he was confessed, she lost “her Richard”…he was not able to break through and overcome…hurtful words to hear “I love her as much as I ever (once) loved you.” “Please you because my mistress told me so.”
Do you love your mistress, with all my heart. OUCH…
First time I found you. Enjoyed hearing the review.
Enjoyed review. I agreed that Teasgarden did a great job as the selfish teenager rebelling against her father’s long dictatorship over her.
She wanted to “live” and finding a “prince charming” and her new gift that helped with tantrums to get what she wanted…oh my what fun!!
Michael Whalley was great as the annoying bad boy, who became the romantic rascal/rogue to sweep her off her feet…well done.
Richard and Kahlan… I think that even though K knew R was confessed the “words” hurt… “I love her as much as I ever (once) loved you”
to please you because my mistress wants me to… and then I love her with all my heart….OUCH! Richard has always been able to overcome magic and situations…this time “Kahlan’s Richard did not” …somewhere along the way it has to reach up maybe stab a wedge….????
I’ve only read the first book. Enjoy the series. Love the leads and most of the time the support actors.
I think that if Richard had not loved Kahlan while confessed he would have killed her as soon as she threw the knife at Annabelle. I can’t remember for sure though, maybe Annabelle called him off. He also seemed all too willing to help become unconfessed.
