I do think this was another episode that was a little rushed. I mean Zedd names a new Seeker with almost no background check aside from Shota’s vision and Cara develops a spark for Leo after a 5 minute conversation? A little odd but hey, I can roll with it.
Now that they have eliminated the prophet himself (bookies know what I am talking about) and have replaced it with the Burning-Wall-Thingy-That-Makes-Prophecies-In-Stone it will be interesting to see what they do with all the extra parts missing from the plot.

I will definitely be a regular listener. I just recently came across your podcast on Itunes and stayed up way too late catching up on the previous episode discussions, lol. The Harry Potter comment was funny. I was actually thinking the same thing when he was heading off to ‘wizard school’. lol.
Hi Kev and Jen, Enjoyed the podcast!!! I’ll try to be brief…hemmm … I agree with Michael the epis often seem rushed to get soooo much in … ie TOUCHED. Anyway, three things that stand out off the top of my head: 1) prophecy does not say “Keeper” but the enemy of the light… so I assume perhaps Nicci or someone else who is a Sister of the Dark may be involved 2) Leo (another name please) comes with Shota’s recommendation ??? and how much does Shota like Cara?? Is he being used by Shota … is he real or tainted??? 3) ominous “pure heart still beats” for the mother confessor…says something may be in the winds I agree Kev

Getting better with missing K – pan from R with dagger to K with sword, tear sweet too — but hey lady tell the guy you love him
Chipmunks…where??? why??? but cute — like the crush too Cara is unique
Sister Verna is still super great actress with Richard…great chemistry
Richard stands up for what he believes in – himself and those he loves not “broad statements on stones” – besides if he has a bigger destiny then he
needs to get things done…not stay where 1 day equals 10 days….whoa! — He has already changed the prophecies…Reckoning…and now he is free
free of his headaches, smart/crafty move… gets it back later??? the magic??? He doesn’t like magic and he knew about Kieran’s “grace” magic
Second Rule –when Richard challenges her — makes Sister Verna think about what she did
Question: the agiel says Richard is Lord Rahl so Richard stays with “Rahl gifts and Seeker gifts” does not need Sword of Truth and assists Leo ?

Why do all of these people like keeping information from the Seeker? They want him to solve all of the problems of the world…yet let’s keep info from him, egads!!
Good solid episode with solid performances from everyone. Sister Verna casting right on the money.
Jenn, didn’t realize you weren’t a Horner fan from the beginning. Nonbookie here — adored the guy from the beginning. Loved his “deer in the headlight” seeker – - guides guy/farmer type… loved to hear him in interviews how he saw Richard and what/how he was doing with the character…talented actor.

Hey guys. I finally got a mindless enough job at work so I could finally start catching up with your podcasts. I just finished listening to the podcast for “Dark” and I just had to chime in (even though it is so late).
I was amused at how you both went into detail about how prophecy always sounds straightforward and rarely is, and yet you both thought all three of Shoda’s prophecies in “Marked” came true in the episode itself. I was yelling at Zed (quietly, my cat was asleep) for being gullible in that episode and thinking that Richard was fulfilling the prophecies. I just thought it was way too easy.
For example, one of the prophecies was something on the order of “The Seeker will turn away from great power”, IIRC, and I would argue that giving Nikki his han was turning away from *way* more power than turning from the throne of Rahl……
And the other one, something like “The Seeker will embrace the one in red”. Seems to me that most of the women of power that Richard has been allying himself recently are clothed in red: Cara, yes, but also Sister Verna, as well as the Sisters of the Light.
Just food for thought that has been really informing how I am reacting to so much of this season.
