In response to Richard’s loyalty and accepting burden of quest” –Richard would not continue a quest knowing one he loved was in jeopardy, he puts everything on hold before continuing. He feels because he forced the boxes together after Rahl had wedged them apart with the SOT, he caused the
tear, the rift of the veil. He and He alone.

I was surprised I enjoyed the episode as much as I did. Tired of the tease between R/K would rather see a deeper relationship nurtured and handled.
Fury, Touched, and Resurrection dissected Richard – torn, scrambled and put back together several times. Now Kahlan — three separate entities: Kahlan complete, Kahlan Mother Confessor and Kahlan emotional. Did you notice that the KMC could do nothing more than give orders, she really couldn’t fight, she
could interpret things “literally” only. Everything else requires some kind of emotion that she was devoid of. She also dissed the throne of Aydidril with her demeanor: conceited, brassy, huzzy posture and her selection of Prince Fyren and dispatching with the necessities only further the disrepect of her order.
Good creative shooting of the love scenes just rushed…could have been paced better. There was no higher ground with her. “Justice in the Midlands requires only one voice, mine.” (As Jenn said) The other one KMC said, “What you call mercy is a stone’s throw away from Chaos.”

Zedd’s quote I liked: “We’re all a delicate balance between love and duty, the heart and the head. Constantly keeping each other in balance. It takes both to make us whole. ” (Amen…We are all complicated.)

Before Richard’s quizzical question marks behind the eyes come to fruition, he is there for his damsel who has lost her powers as she falls apart. Oh what she manages to do to this guy from the Denna episode R =”tell me you don’t have feelings for me.” K =”I have no feelings for you, and I never will.” to Torn episode R=”Are you saying…” K=”yes, yes if you want to…” It was sweet at the end: Kahlan wonders how it was and acknowledges that he lost something too when he gave up emotional kahlan and in her rebirth. We hear Richard say “I have enough memories for both of us.” but the soft sweet playful glint in his eyes and the soft smile on his face makes Kahlan almost blush as she demurely casts her eyes downward. He also gives her the respect that if he had known he would not have…. (Heard Kev reviewed some earlier epis…chemistry was there from the get-go and is even richer now when the writers allow them to show it. Skilled actors, sincere.) thanks for the info on the interviews… deras
