Great job again guys, I am looking forward to your podcasts each week now. Tabrett was great in this episode almost as good as Bridget was in last one. Just wanted to comment on something Kevin mentioned about the negative comments on the forum regarding things like plot of convenience for the tv show. I have run across comments from a lot of people (mostly bookies) who seem to hate the show and cringe at every change from the books but yet still keep watching it. This made me think of Wizard’s Sixth Rule from “Faith of the Fallen”. I won’t list it here since some people might consider that a spoiler and it’s not exactly meant for this situation but I am just putting a bit of twist on that. Basically, the rule can be interpreted as you have to be reasonable in making judgments and decisions and base them on what is rather than what you wish it to be. In other words, you have to look at things in terms of how they are and accept them rather than complain about what you think they should be like. At least that’s my take on this rule and to me it seems that a lot of people see the show for what they imagine it to be rather than what it is.
I am a bookie and there are some changes I cringe about too as Kurt mentioned the first season mistake in one of the earlier podcasts with regards to Sisters of the light. And I am not saying that nobody can criticize the show since nothing’s perfect and I myself do make a lot of comparisons from the books to the show, just think people can enjoy the show for what it is rather then what they want it to be…
