LOVED this episode! I’m internet famous now!
Holy Midlands! I think this is your best podcast ever! Enjoyed every minute of it.
I agree 100% on all your comments. I just would like to add Zedd and Darken Rahl to the list of characters that look like they walked out of the books. Re. Richard, I think the writers deviated from the books in Season 1 (a lot). Nothing to do with Craig Horner’s performance, who’s phenomenal. Richard of S2 is definitely the Richard of the books.
I, too, felt bad for Thaddicus at the end. He never gets a hug from Richard, who’s family after all. *Big fandom hug for Thaddicus!*

Fantastic episode…Super podcast!! Season 1 developed our characters for the series not necessarily booked. Glad to read credit given to Craig for awesome intepretation of young woodsguide to a man sent to fulfill a prophecy. He continues to show us the many dimensions of Richard. His performance and those of the other actors in this episode were super!! Gabriel Mann did a great job in Wizard and followed through intepreting the young Zedd in this episode extremely well. Luv John Rhys-Davies as Panis Rahl, Paul Barrett continues doing a good job as his Panis. Great support from Kahlan/Cara. Thaddicus is Uncle Thad, Yes? As Richard said, “I’m family” my comment, “so… what gives?” After all the concerns for Panis to go to the Underworld Darken Rahl tells him, “I forgive you father. Do you forgive me?” I don’t think we heard an answer. (It is suggested that Darken Rahl learned his manipulative skills from his father Panis as well as his skills for leveraging for what feathered his nest. Age and experience brings wisdom. Young Panis, Thad and Zedd shows us how the over-confidence of youth and personal desire often blinds…) Darken Rahl… the bad boy, who still wants his father’s attention, acceptance. Richard knows the pain again of losing/ burying a father and trying so hard to figure out his family. Some awkward moments with the Sisters of the Dark stunts… Overall – fantastic! Ready for the next episode.. and ready to hear about a season three…..please!!! Looking forward to the Craig Horner interview, enjoyed Bridget’s. deras
Another great podcast!
Cant say enough about the Episodes this was another fantastic one! Loved the fifght sceen again Cara and Kahlan looking out for one another and as always Richard looking out for Kahlan. I do not think we have seen the last of what Darken Rahl has instore for Panis…he knows his Father loves Richard more than him…
Thanks again! the last 5 episodes I think will “Rock our Socks”!!!!
Oh, my guess at how it will end they will of course find the stone and seal the rift…but, Bridget made mention in one of her posts about a “pretty dress” they may not get married but…they may know they can and she might even get the dress…like in the books…
Thanks…Deidre’
Episode “Walter” was great… i like it. But the next episode is even better…
