Hi a super podcast as always. Sorry I am a bit down and somewhat off balance a bit. (Kind of like losing a beloved member of the family.)

Anyway I was wondering if any of you noticed the voice Parker was using. Horner and Parker are both great at voices. I really thought it was patterned off of Dustin Hoffman from Rainman?? Super to see Craig Parker again and would have loved to seen him back in the 3rd season as a sometime antagonist like Shota has been. He is such a good actor. Thanks again for the podcasts. We’ll see what the future brings. Not a real bookie…. at any rate….best wishes, deras

  2. Hey guys!

What a week! I feel Walter is not getting the attention it deserves because of the bad news of the show being cancelled. As you know the fandom is on a rescue mission. Fingers crossed.

Re. Walter, it received mixed reviews in the forum, which didn’t surprise me. I thought Craig Parker was brilliant and the episode was entertaining. I had my SQUEEEE moment when Darken Rahl is just back from the dead and the first thing he does…. he touches his lips with his finger tips. Triple squeee!! Yeah, that’s evil Darken Rahl from the books. I can’t wait to watch what other evil he’s going to conjure today.

Kurt, I agree with you that S2 is “very loosely” based on the books, but so was S1. I can see these S1 episodes based on the books: Prophecy, Destiny, Denna, Puppeteer, and a lot more loosely: Conversion, Sanctuary, Bloodline and Reckoning. S2 book references are in: Marked, Light, Dark, Perdition, Bound. More loosely: Banelings, Broken, Fury.

    Cheers! – laura
